Jillian was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and started her nursing career at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in 2001. She served as both bedside and charge nurse, and gained over 10 years of experience in the surgical intensive care unit. She earned her Master’s Degree in Science from the University of South Florida, where she graduated with honors in 2014. Jillian is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and maintains national certification in critical care. Current specialties include Cardiology/Cardiac Electrophysiology, Urgent and Primary Care with a focus on preventative medicine and holistic care. Jillian gives back to the community on a local and global level. She has served as a volunteer clinician for medical mission trips to India and the Dominican Republic and is a preceptor for USF medical students in the Latino Medical Student Association as well as USF Tampa Bay Street Medicine. Academic and professional memberships include the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Academy of Critical Care Nurses. Jillian is fluent in English and Spanish. Her passions outside of work include dancing salsa, bachata and merengue, traveling and learning new languages.
